What "translucent matte" means in practice
A translucent case is not fully clear and not fully opaque — it occupies a middle ground where the iPhone's original back glass color and texture show through at a reduced intensity, filtered through the case material's own tint and finish. In light blue matte, the effect is a soft, frosted haze that turns the iPhone 17's back into something between the phone's original color and the case's color. On a white iPhone 17, it reads as an icy pale blue. On a black iPhone 17, it creates a darker slate-blue tone. Cases without a MagSafe pass-through design can reduce the magnet-to-magnet force, slowing charging to Qi speeds and reducing snap force on magnetic accessories. This case's built-in alignment ring is positioned to sit concentrically over the iPhone 17's magnet array, maintaining full field strength and allowing 15W MagSafe charging at full speed. There is no additional shielding or ferrous material in the case that would degrade the MagSafe connection.
iPhone 17 (6.3-inch) vs. iPhone 17 Pro (6.3-inch) — same size, different case
iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro both feature 6.3-inch displays, but the two models have different physical dimensions — different camera module placement, different button positions, and different internal component layouts that affect case cutout geometry. A case designed for the iPhone 17 will not fit the iPhone 17 Pro correctly even though the screen sizes match. Always confirm the model name (iPhone 17, not iPhone 17 Pro) before purchasing — this case is precision-cut for the standard iPhone 17 only.
